Tour Plan

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or from your hotel, Polo Adventures representative will warmly welcome you and provide a detailed tour briefing before you embark on your journey.

Enjoy a scenic drive from Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve, passing through diverse landscapes as you enter the semi-arid scrublands of Kenya’s northern frontier. Upon arrival at your camp/lodge, check in and enjoy a delicious lunch before setting out for an afternoon game drive, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot the unique wildlife of Samburu.

As the sun sets over the vast wilderness, return to your camp/lodge for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay, preparing for more safari adventures ahead.

Start your day with an early morning game drive to explore the beauty of Samburu National Reserve, home to the famous Samburu Special Five: the reticulated giraffe, Gravy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and Gerenuk. These rare species are unique to this region, and you’ll have the chance to spot them during your game drive.

After your exciting morning drive, return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast. The remainder of the morning is yours to relax by the pool or on the terrace, where you can enjoy the serene view of the river.

In the afternoon, embark on another game drive, this time returning to the lodge as the sun begins to set, providing an unforgettable view of the landscape.

You will then return to your hotel/ Lodge for the evening, where you will enjoy a restful night in a standard room on a full board basis.

After breakfast, we depart for Sweetwaters Sanctuary, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Once the private domain of the famed multi-millionaire Adnan Kashoggi, this expansive sanctuary offers a rich wildlife experience.

Our first stop is the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a heartwarming refuge founded by the Jane Goodall Institute. This sanctuary provides care for orphaned chimpanzees, offering them a safe environment to thrive. Next, we visit the specially protected and fenced area for black rhinos, home to an impressive population of forty individuals.

Sweetwaters also offers excellent game viewing, with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya, ensuring a diverse and abundant wildlife experience.

After a fulfilling morning, we return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy leisure time to relax and admire the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and begin the drive back to Nairobi. Along the way, we’ll stop for a delightful lunch at the Trout Tree Restaurant, set in a scenic location, offering a delicious meal and a peaceful atmosphere.

After lunch, continue the journey to Nairobi, where your driver will drop you off at your hotel or the airport. This marks the end of your unforgettable safari experience. We hope you’ve enjoyed a safari of a lifetime and carry with your wonderful memories of Kenya’s wildlife and landscapes.
